Lisa Friel P’08 Visits the RBA Lisa M. Friel P’08, Special Counsel for investigations at the National Football League, spoke this fall at a Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Bar Association event. She provided alumni in attendance with an overview of her career, which includes a distinguished 28-year span as a Manhattan prosecutor.
Topics discussed included how the handling of domestic violence and sexual misconduct issues in the private sector—schools, businesses and organizations—has evolved in recent years. She also gave an overview of her work with the NFL and her role as Special Counsel handling investigations.
Race and Community Discussed
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ students participated in a discussion on race and community this fall led by a panel of alumni, including former NYPD detective Ed Conlon ’83 and Assistant U.S. Attorney Martin Bell ’99.
Califano Visits Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ
Joseph Califano, former U.S. Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare stopped by Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ this fall to donate a copy of his book, The Triumph and Tragedy of Lyndon Johnson, to the library.
