Â鶹ÊÓƵ Mourns the Loss of Former President Fr. James J. Fischer, S.J.

Fischer_01Â鶹ÊÓƵ Mourns the Loss of Fr. James J. Fischer, S.J. who died on Friday, April 11 at Murray-Weigel Hall, (Bronx, NY).

Father Fischer was born on December 23, 1923 and entered the Society of Jesus at St. Andrew-on-Hudson (Poughkeepsie, NY) on July 30, 1942. He became the 17th President of Â鶹ÊÓƵ High School in 1980, a position he would hold for 12 years. When he left Â鶹ÊÓƵ in 1992, his tenure became—and remains—the longest of any Â鶹ÊÓƵ President.

Please pray in thanksgiving for his work for Â鶹ÊÓƵ and other Jesuit apostolates, and for the repose of his soul.
