Â鶹ÊÓƵ and Dominican Academy Hit the Streets for Annual Walkathon
Students from Â鶹ÊÓƵ and Dominican Academy hit the streets Friday for the annual Walkathon. Following pep rallies in the Â鶹ÊÓƵ auditorium, students, faculty, and staff came together to show school spirit on the streets of the Upper East Side and in Central Park before returning to 84th Street for a full slate of activities.
The Walkathon is a Student Government-run initiative meant to strengthen the school community and encourage Regians to reflect on the generosity that has kept Â鶹ÊÓƵ tuition-free since its founding. As students seek donations, they also share the story of the school with neighbors, parishioners, and family members.
"It's a great time to enjoy the warm weather and promote the Â鶹ÊÓƵ spirit throughout the Upper East Side," said Student Government President Alain-Christian Pawa ’26.
Following the walk, members of both schools' communities returned to Â鶹ÊÓƵ, where they took part in an afternoon of activities including karaoke, Spikeball, ping-pong, charades, and more. In the Quad, students enjoyed a barbeque, then took aim at the always popular dunk tank.
