Â鶹ÊÓƵ Repertory Wows Audiences in Les Misérables

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ Repertory took the stage from April 23–25 for its spring production, Les Misérables. The Rep performed the classic musical based on Victor Hugo's novel for the first time since 2010.

The production — led by Â鶹ÊÓƵ Rep moderator Ms. Gena Reisig, director Ms. Maura Malloy, and Mr. Jim Langan, all of whom also worked on the 2010 production — showcased the skills of more than 70 students from Â鶹ÊÓƵ and other local schools on the stage, in the orchestra, and behind the scenes.

"When the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Repertory put on Les Misérables in 2010, it was our most ambitious undertaking yet and broke records for attendance," said Ms. Reisig. "This year’s revival was even larger. Â鶹ÊÓƵ welcomed more than 1,300 guests over four shows, and we are incredibly grateful to the students, parents, staff, and alumni who came out to cheer us on."

Mr. Stephen Murphy and music teacher Mr. Jake Elkin worked with students on the production's orchestra and vocals. The Rep also benefitted from the talents of teachers Ms. Meghan Kiernan and Mr. Yushun Yuen to build the sets, as well as those of of Anthony Griffin ’14 and John Griffin ’14, who provided assistance with sound and lights.
