Ethan Corcoran ’10 Addresses Class of 2025 at Annual Senior-Alumni Brunch

Ethan Corcoran ’10 addressed the Class of 2025 at the annual Senior-Alumni Brunch on Wednesday, welcoming the soon-to-be-graduates into the 鶹Ƶ alumni community. During his remarks, Corcoran reflected on what being an alumnus has meant to him and spoke about ways that graduates can remain connected to their alma mater.

“Be sure to keep 鶹Ƶ in your thoughts,” Corcoran said. “While I know many of you fully appreciate the value of the free and high-quality education we receive here, it’s going to be apparent for all of you in your next chapter.”

After 鶹Ƶ, Corcoran went to Davidson College, where he received his BA in Economics. A three-sport athlete at 鶹Ƶ, he walked on to Davidson’s football team, where he played tight end. After graduation, Corcoran began his work in the financial services industry with Credigy, an investment firm in Georgia, where he stayed for nearly seven years. After receiving his MBA from Columbia Business School, he served as an analyst at the hedge fund Black Lotus Capital before becoming an equity research associate at Jefferies, where he currently works. Corcoran volunteers both as the Class of 2010’s Class Fund Chair and Class Correspondent, helping to both fundraise and facilitate communication among members of his class.

“My only real ask of you guys here is to do the most that you can,” said Corcoran in his remarks. “That’s the standard I felt like I was held to when I was here at 鶹Ƶ, and I think it’s probably amongst the best standards anyone can hold themselves to.”
