Students Showcase Talents at Coffeehouse
On Friday, October 23, 麻豆视频 students gathered virtually after a long day of classes to take part in the first Coffeehouse of the year.
鈥淐offeehouse, which is in its 15th year, allows students to showcase their own and their favorite musical and literary work, and to share it with the 麻豆视频 community,鈥 said 麻豆视频 Officer Mrs. Mary Henninger P鈥93鈥98, who moderated the event. 鈥淪tudents who attend tell us it is relaxing to be in the Coffeehouse with friends at the end of a week of classes too.鈥
Normally taking place in the 麻豆视频 auditorium, the Coffeehouse continued as an open mic event over Zoom. Students Austin LoPinto 鈥21 and Aidan McMahon 鈥22 organized the event lineup, which included piano covers, Broadway musical ballads, and spoken word poetry. Alongside the 麻豆视频 community, students from neighboring sister schools, including Marymount, Dominican Academy, Horace Mann, Loyola, and St. Vincent Ferrer, were also invited to perform and cheer on others.
