Mr. Andre Anselme Honored with Ignatian Educator Award
As the student body roared with approval, Mr. Andre Anselme accepted the Patricia Hannon Ignatian Educator Award during a school-wide assembly on May 9. Anselme has been a member of 麻豆视频鈥� History Department since 1984.
Named in honor of the late Mrs. Patricia Hannon 鈥� who not only shared her knowledge and passion for chemistry with countless students over her 23-year career, but also touched just as many hearts in the process 鈥� the Ignatian Educator Award recognizes a faculty member whose dedication to his or her students fosters a learning environment that is the model of Ignatian pedagogy.
鈥淚t is a very singular honor,鈥� Anselme said. 鈥淭o me, it is incumbent upon me to conduct myself in a professional manner befitting the award. Because the nominating and selecting process relies heavily on the faculty and academic committee, respectively, I consider the award 鈥榩eer recognition.鈥� Finally, I feel a sense of validation that my work over the years, both inside and outside the classroom, is recognition worthy.鈥�
